The Italian interior minister has announced that a billboard poster advertising the upcoming film adaption of Dan Brown’s global bestseller ‘The Da Vinci Code’ will be removed from St. Pantaleo church in Rome. Rev. Marco Fibbi, a spokesman for Rome’s Vicariate, explained the issue with the poster. “This movie is not reputed to be particularly appreciated by ecclesiastic circles” he said, the poster had been “causing a problem”.

Despite some fairly dismal reviews from film critics, Silent Hill managed to surprise everyone and take $20.2 million last weekend, ousting Scary Movie 4 into second place. Released in just under 3000 cinema’s Silent Hill managed to take $3 million more than the horror spoof franchise, which managed to pick up another $17 million bringing it’s current total to over $60 million. Directed by Chritopher Gans, Silent Hill is an atmospheric and satisfying video-game adaption, a welcome change from Uwe Boll’s run of grotesque failures.

Three years since the release of Cradle of Life and two years since Jolie announced that she was finished with the Tomb Raider series and it now seems that she may have changed her mind, leaving the franchise open for a third title. The man behind Lara Croft, Ian Livingstone of Eidos Interactive, told The Daily Express that “Paramount has optioned it and Angelina has agreed to star in the third.” Jolie and her husband, Brad Pitt are currently in Namibia awaiting the birth of their next child.
