According to the folks over at Rotten Tomatoes a sequel to the martial arts smash hit Ong Bak, has currently just hit advanced development stages. The original director, Prachya Pinkaew will be staying on as a producer and the star himself, martial arts prodigy Tony Jaa will be receiving the directorial duties. Other details are scarce, but earlier this year, Coming Soon reported that “Jaa plays a young man on a journey that teaches him the skills and inner meaning of martial arts.” There’s not much to think about yet, but if it’s anything like the original then it will surely be another global success for Tony Jaa - the man some people describe as a modern Bruce Lee.
