Director of Ratcatcher, Lynne Ramsay, is working on a new project after being ousted from her previous one in favour of epic prodigy, Peter Jackon. Her new project is based on the novel Lionel Shiver’s and is entitled “We Need to Talk About Kevin”. The film will follow an educated mother in New York that is trying to raise and support a son she never truly wanted. Rather harshly, the son grows up to be a bit of a handful (to say the least) and goes off the rails, severely disrupting his mothers life. The screenplay has been written and shooting is scheduled to commence in 2007. Another British gem from Ramsay? Yes, I hope so too.
