Empire reports that star of last month’s box office smash X-Men 3: The Last Stand, Hugh Jackman, has agreed to fill the position that Russell Crowe recently vacated in Baz Lurhmans currently unnamed romantic drama set in the 1940’s. Jackman will star alongside fellow Australian (well technically she was born in Hawaii) Nicole Kidman. However, they’ll ahve t wait a while because shooting is not set to commence until February next year and Luhrman is still currently hard at work finishing the screenplay with the help of Collateral’s Stuart Beattie and The Pianist’s Ronald Harwood.
