As promised, writers Bob Orci and Alex Kurtzman have revealed the full list of Autobots and Decepticons that will be featured in Michael Bay’s upcoming live-action Transformers movie. The list was revealed earlier today during a live webcast handled by Yahoo - for more of the information disclosed during the cast and some of the fans Q & A’s head on over to Yahoo Movies. Anyway, to the main event.

The list of Autobots confirmed was as follows: Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Jazz, Ratchet and Ironhide. And for the Decepticons we will be seeing Megatron, Starscream, Brawl, Bonecrusher, Barricade, Scorponok, Frenzy and Blackout. Empire Online noted the absence of fan-favourite Soundwave and also the “inclusion of non-Generation one characters” as sore points for hardcore Transformers fans who may kick up a bit of a fuss. But the upcoming competition dubbed “Write a line for Optimus Prime” will probably keep them occupied for a little while.
