Rick O’Connell, everyone’s favourite adventurer, may be hitting our screens once again in the third movie of what would consequently be, The Mummy trilogy. According to Rotten Tomatoes, rumours have been circulating that Brendan Fraser has already signed on to do the project and that filming may start as soon as next spring. The script is going to be penned by Smallville partners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar and will apparently be offering us a slightly original spin on what we’ve already seen. Sadly, Rachel Weisz and Oded Fehr are yet to be connected with the project, but Weisz did recently say to French site EcranLarge.com that she knows there’s a new script, but hasn’t read it yet. “Nothing’s definite yet and should the film be done, it’s probably going to happen next summer. And if so, I would definitely like to be in it.” She added.
