A promo trailer for Zack Snyder’s big screen adaption of the graphic novel “300″ by Frank Miller, was posted exclusively today over at Movies For The Masses and all I can say is…well, it looks jaw-dropping. The movie follows a group of 300 Spartan warriors - some of the world’s most elite soldiers - who are chosen meet an advancing Persian army in battle in order to effectively stall them before an invasion of Greece. Grossly outnumbered and almost certain to die, the Spartans fight regardless, believing in the mantra that a Spartan’s greatest honour is to die in battle. But anyway, back to details about the 3 minute snippet itself, which I must reiterate, is juicy enough to drool over. I keep telling myself it’s too early to predict whether Snyder’s project is actually going to be as epic and intense as it comes across in the promo - but realistically, after witnessing such a spectacle, I can’t see it straying very far from the mark.

“300″ is scheduled for a Q1 2007 release.
