It seems that Starship Troopers is back for a third outing - hopefully to make amends after the awful sequel from 2004. Edward Neumeier is back, once again, on screenplay duties and will also be taking the directorial chair this time too, leaving Phil Tippett completely out of the equation. Starship Troopers never looked like a series and it seems that Ed Neumeier is alone in thinking that his crappy individual outings are any good. But, Empire have reported that he is trying to ensnare Casper Van Dien in his plot to revive the Troopers, so maybe there is some hope for the prophecy yet. When contacted for a quote, Van Dien said “I’m doing my part!”.
