If you’re a bit of a Bourne fan then I’m sure you’ll relish the chance to catch some on-set video footage and photos taken during a recent shooting session in Berlin. Catch all of the content over at The Movie Reporter. The Bourne Ultimatum is currently scheduled for an August 3rd release in the UK and US (full list at IMDB), so we still have quite a bit of time to wait yet!

Despite there being an overwhelmingly negative opinion of the film, Epic Movie has managed to reach the giddy heights of #1 at the US box office this week, grossing a fairly solid $19.2m. After having watched the trailer I can only imagine it to be a failure of the Scary Movie 4 ilk. Joe Carnahan’s Smokin’ Aces, also in its first week of release, assumed 2nd place taking in $14.262m. Elsewhere Night at the Museum added a further $9.45m to its already astronomical gross total and Catch and Release managed to amass a round $8m figure. Catch the full chart at IMDB.

Everyone’s favourite action hero (ahem) is in the UK and is touring with his band Thunderbox *cue excited gasps*. You’ll be able to catch the notorious action star basically anywhere you want: bus stops, selected Tesco stores, outside your local B & Q…well, pretty near at least, check out the rather lengthy list of tour dates at Seagal’s official site. If you love his films then I guess you’ll probably love his music, not that I’m implying you’re easily pleased or anything…you’re into a bit of Van-Damme too? You liked Street Fighter? God help us all.

There was also a delectable selection of indie movies, a case in point being Brick. But, with 2007 already upon us it is hard not to look ahead and think about just how much better this year is shaping up to be. So, in alphabetical order, here is my list of 2007’s most anticipated films.

Park Chan-Wook’s interestingly titled I am Cyborg, but that’s OK is expected to be the first of around 8 Korean movies to be screened at Berlin’s film festival in February. The film, which is a drama focused on a female psychiatric patient who believes she’s a cyborg, is also expected to be in the running for the main competition alongside Yella by Christian Petzold, The Good Shepherd by Robert De Niro, The Good German by Steven Soderbergh respectively, Irina Palm by Sam Garbarski and Goodbye Bafana by the Danish director Bille August. A number of other Korean flicks will be screened over the festival’s 10 days (8th-18th February) including some by directors such as Hong Sang-Soo, Leesong Hee-Il and Lee Hae-Young.
