Grindhouse isn’t even out yet and it seems that Quentin Tarantino is already planning to shoot his own solo sequel. Apparently he’ll be making a retro style kung-fu film in Mandarin which will be released uncut and subtitled in some countries whilst also being made available in a cut and dubbed version elsewhere. If you’ve been following the news you should already know that Rodriguez is also working on a similar sort of sequel dubbed Machete, which is also following the Grindhouse theme, so it seems that both directors have been caught up in the grindhouse genre. Interesting prospects anyway, well, that is if Grindhouse is any good….which I’m sure it will be.
