We all knew that Sony would milk the spider-man franchise for all it happened to be worth, but 6 films?! It’s turning into Rocky. If we continue to work upon that logic then 4 will be average, 5 is going to suck as much as You Got Served and 6 will be a return to form albeit in a sentimental and predictable manner. Oh God, does this mean Peter Parker is going to have a really annoying son? I wonder who the Spider-man equivalent of Tommy Gunn is… Anyway, back to my original point, Sam Raimi had always mentioned that Sony would carry the franchise on for as long as possible, but in an article posted on Sunday, Sony Pictures chief executive Michael Lynton told the BBC: “Everybody has every intention of making a fourth, a fifth and a sixth and on and on.” So now it’s official.
